De Bovenstreek Farm Museum
More information
Here farm life is shown as it used to be, including a beautiful collection of traditional costumes. The children can play in the haystack!
You get a good idea of how the farming family lived and worked here. In the small cellar are the preserving bottles with vegetables and fruits from the garden. Outside, under a shed, the material the farmer worked with to cultivate his land is stored. Children now play in the haystack and the farm carts in the yard are still used occasionally. The vegetable garden and flower garden at the farm are well maintained. More than a hundred volunteers are active in the museum and also take care of livestock, such as goats and sheep.

Children are always welcome in the Farm Museum. There is a dressing up box where girls and boys can pick out their farm clothes. There is also a treasure hunt for the little ones and the Old Dutch games such as hooping and stilt walking are also nice. A highlight is of course playing in the haystack.
Attractive packages are offered for groups of 10 or more people, including catering if desired. Also consider the Boerderijmuseum de Bovenstreek as an original wedding location!
