Klankenklooster Uzory Ukrainian folk music

The folk music ensemble Uzory hails from the Ukrainian city of Mykolajiv. The six members of the group are musical virtuosos who studied at the Kiev and Odessa conservatories. They live in war zones, but have visas around Christmas and then perform all over the Netherlands, including in Museum Elburg.

They play typical Russian and Ukrainian instruments such as the domra, balalaika, bajan (Russian button accordion), flute and a variety of percussion instruments. Uzory is praised for the high level of their performances and high musical standards. The ensemble has not only Russian and Ukrainian folk music, but also classical music, jazz, tango and traditionals from the world repertoire on the program.

They have provided lyrics in English/ Ukrainian especially for the Ukrainian residents of our municipality. It would nice for both parties if Ukrainian residents of Elburg would be present at this concert.
